April 4th, 2012 - John Cameron appears on Speed Channel's Car Warriors as part of the West Coast build team. As John and his team build their vision of a Factory Five '33 Roadster, their East Coast competitors use their East Coast influence to create their rendition. The kicker is both teams had only 48 hours total to concept, fabricate, build, and paint from a boxed kit from Factory Five. April 23rd, 2011 - Cameron Autosports takes Best Of Show at the 5th Annual Factory Five Racing Huntington Beach Car Show. The show featured Factory Five builds of the the Daytona Coupe, GTM Supercar, MkI / MkII / MKIII Roadsters, '33 Roadsters, as well as other roadsters to round out the entries. Hosted by Factory Five's own President Dave Smith, the event presented awards in each category, along with a few editor's choice awards. Although weather forcasts threatened possible rain and cold weather, the clouds faded to allow the sun to show off the amazing paint and craftsmanship put into each of the cars. Beach goers got to share in the excitement as the cars were parked right on the promenade at the entrance to the pier.
April 16th, 2011 - Cameron Autosports takes (4) Awards at the 2011 AHA Pomona Show. The Hugger Orange 1965 FFR Roadster that is the flagship car for Cameron Autosports, captured a Best Of Class in the > $50K Category, a Best Overall Engine, and the coveted Best Of Show. The Lexus Blue 1965 FFR Roadster built for Mark Lebens, captured a Best Of Class in the < $50K Category. The show which had 150+ entries brought car enthusiats and builders from all over the country, including GT40 kits, Daytona Coupes, Lambourghini and Ferrari replicas, and more. In addition to the car show, attendees were treated to tours of the NHRA Museum to escape the springtime sun.
